SUGAR IS NOT THE ONLY THING SWEET

A moment in time

just a little fragment of eternity
yet as significant
as the birth of a child
is a day spend with you.
You turn sadness into
chocolate mousse
with raspberry sauce.
I guess we should never take for granted the minutes and hours someone spends with us. So what does that mean "take for granted" ? Let us look at this a bit closer.
The dictionary says :
take somebody for granted
"to not show that you are grateful to someone for helping you or that you are happy they are with you, often because they have helped you or been with you so often.
One of the problems with relationships is that after a while you begin to take each other for granted."

I am happy to say that we have never taken each other for granted. There isn't a day I wouldn't want to be with him. In fact, if there was an extra day I would spend it with him too.
Make every day special and always tell each other that the time you spend with them was wonderful, because it was.

Halloween has arrived at the Retreat and the rain is pouring down.
The little pumpkin hunt is also ready for you to go and explore. Find 10 hidden pumpkins in the rain throughout the Retreat.

Go and see the video here :)

Beware of creatures that might suddenly appear. You never know where they are hiding. Turn your sound up and have the recommended wind light setting, so you can enjoy all the features.
There is a spaceship near the Galicia Art & Cultural Hall to guide you into the gallery for some spectacular Halloween art by Jack. It is a true masterpiece and a must see.
Stop by today, the rain and Halloween will only last until October 31, 2016

All shows at the Basement this month are on the upper level so you can enjoy the rain and ghostly activities.

Are Men Better Drivers Than Women? Come test drive....

Well, let's see and think about this first before we make any judgements...

Men, first of all,  take much bigger risks than women do. It is a proven fact that men want to show off their masculinity while driving. They make turns when it is not safe and they love speed.

However, men do have a better knowledge of the car in itself. They understand the machine and yes they name their cars.

But then again, in real life, I have named my cars. This means women are catching up to men in the business with cars. I find that women are more likely to text while driving, so that is not a good thing at all. Come on ladies, it can wait!!!

Want to test drive this car?

REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!!

Spanish settlers built the Mission San Antonio de Valero, named for St. Anthony of Padua, on the banks of the San Antonio River around 1718. They also established the nearby military garrison of San Antonio de Béxar, which soon became the center of a settlement known as San Fernando de Béxar (later renamed San Antonio). The Mission San Antonio de Valero housed missionaries and their Native American converts for some 70 years until 1793, when Spanish authorities secularized the five missions located in San Antonio and distributed their lands amongst local residents.

In its history, it is a battle where everybody dies and you can now go visit the Alamo in Second Life.

UT Arlington in Second Life is delighted to have the opportunity to host "The Alamo" - a realistic 3D, online, immersive re-creation of the modern-day Alamo.
Go visit the site today and also read up on it.
